“Widget Visibility” Challenge

Widgets: can there possibly be anything left to learn? Yes! Time to dig into widget visibility.

Today, adjust the visibility settings of one of your widgets.

By default, widgets display on every post and page where the sidebar appears. How can you avoid duplicate information, like showing your “About this Blog” text widget on your “About” page, or a widget highlighting your weekly photo feature on your weekly posts? Enter: widget visibility. Visit the resource page to explore:

  • How to configure widget visibility settings
  • Ways to use widget visibility to your advantage

As with everything we do in this course, you can always undo this, but we want you to get a sense of how the settings work.

(We know this is a less-intensive day compared to the past few — we thought you could use a breather!)
